"The Body": The radical empathy of Buffy's best episode. An analysis of the episode and its approach to grieving.

I just re-watched The Body the other day for the first time in years. It hit way too close to the circumstances of my brother's sudden death in 2007, so I usually skip it. It is immensely powerful because it is so realistic in terms of the immediate aftermath. Anya's monologue still brings me to tears.
For me, it's when Buffy tells Dawn. Destroys me every time.
